Kerry is a Taste and Nutrition leader in food and beverage production, helping nourish and delight customers across the globe.
BMD was tasked with rethinking the brand environment for Kerry’s Global Technology and Innovation Centre in Naas, Ireland. The 258,000 square foot facility hosts 800 employees, 27 different nationalities, 14 laboratories and over 20 collaboration spaces. With interaction and collaboration at its core, the Centre allows customers to work alongside the Kerry team of food and beverage industry professionals to develop innovative products that can be efficiently delivered to the market.
Although the Centre brings together the full depth of Kerry’s technologies and expertise, the design of the internal space was not a reflection of the brand’s core values of innovation and collaboration.
BMD developed a new framework for how the existing Kerry brand comes to life in space. Rooted in Kerry’s brand mission and story, the system leverages photography, graphics and furniture to create a warm and inviting environment that enables group collaboration, while positioning taste and nutrition at the forefront.
BMD worked with Kerry’s global brand team to direct the spatial rollout. From workshops and concept design to installation supervision, our team was an integral part of the process from beginning to end. Beyond maximizing the building’s existing architecture and natural light, the spatial rebrand created new possibilities for every day productivity, sociability and interactive growth.
The redesigned collaboration spaces, lobby and corridors have successfully increased positive synergies between in-house departments. They continue to promote productive interactions and innovation between Kerry’s core customers and nutrition specialists.
