The McMichael has evolved tremendously over the years, and their new identity needed to reflect that.

Accompany our CCO Laura Stein and McMichael Executive Director and Chief Curator Sarah Milroy as they explore how the McMichael’s evolution toward contemporary art became an invitation: to look deeper, to question perception, and to see Canadian art beyond what’s already familiar.

 

By honoring its history while opening space for discovery, the new BMD-crafted identity bridges the collection’s past and present, making room for new voices, new conversations, and new ways of experiencing Canadian culture.
