BMD veterans Tom Keogh, Diane Mahony, and Laura Stein have been appointed to lead the practice as a joint executive team.
Building on a 35 year legacy, working with some of the world’s leading brands and cultural institutions, Laura Stein, Partner, Chief Creative Officer returns to BMD to oversee the branding and design work of the studio.
“Bruce Mau Design has a reputation for thoughtful design work that pushes boundaries. We will continue that ambition with a renewed focus on brands and stories in both the physical and digital world.” About the new leadership team, she says “Collaboration has always been part of our culture and a co-leadership model makes perfect sense as we position ourselves for the future.” Stein first joined BMD in 2004, and has led some of the studio’s highest-profile and most awarded initiatives.
Tom Keogh becomes Partner, VP Growth, and will continue to lead global business development, and marketing initiatives for the studio. “I am tremendously excited to partner with my long-term colleagues Diane and Laura in building the future of Bruce Mau Design,” says Keogh. “We have a shared understanding of the legacy of the studio, vision for the growth of the company, and a fundamental belief in the transformative power of design for our clients’ brands and businesses.”
As Partner, VP Client Services, Diane Mahony will remain focused on studio operations, key client relationships, and capability development. “This is a great step for us,” says Mahony. “We’ve been evolving the work of the studio over the past few years and this new model leverages the strengths we each bring to the table.”
