A leading development company in Toronto, TAS Design Build is firmly grounded in four pillars of sustainiability: cultural, ecological, economic and social. In 2012, TAS retained Bruce Mau Design to update the TAS visual identity and create a framework to better communicate company values. 

BMD articulated a new corporate vision and mission for TAS, as well as new public messaging and a clarified brand architecture. The new messaging focuses TAS’s ability to shape beautiful cities through design and thoughtful community engagement. Building on the communication platform, BMD refreshed the TAS wordmark and built a new visual identity system, which includes a map of Toronto drawn using patterns representing TAS’s four pillars as the primary graphic element. A restrained color and typographic palette ensures a highly useable and recognizable brand.

In addition to the messaging and visual identity, BMD also designed the TAS website and digital collateral.
