Northstar Research Partners is a leading global full-service market research and consulting firm with offices in London, New York and Toronto. A member of the MDC Partners company network, Northstar hired Bruce Mau Design in 2012 for a website redesign.  BMD was tasked with a redesign that should maintain the already existing content and messaging, but offer a new and exciting appeal. 

Through our extensive research and conversations with key stakeholders, we discovered that the Northstar's existing messaging and communications no longer reflected the firm’s culture, service offerings and future goals.

Wanting to set themselves apart from other market research firms, Northstar emphasizes how they approach research differently, and how they can uniquely find insights and generate ideas. To translate Northstar's higher level of observation and investigation, we selected everyday objects as key images, and matched these images with the appropriate corresponding aspects of Northstar's work. This matching depicts the company's investigative ability to find uniqueness in regularity and insight in practicality.    

In collaboration with the Norhstar team, we conducted a repositioning exercise, including a refresh of the existing identity, brand positioning and tagline. We also created a business tool-kit that includes a new innovative way to present market research reports.
