The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has established the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (K•A•CARE) to diversify the country's energy mix and reduce its dependence on fossil fuels. Bruce Mau Design was invited to participate in the first phase of the development of a conceptual master plan for the city.

As visionary consultants of the K•A•CARE project, BMD researched and explored the potential city structure (and infrastructure). Furthermore, BMD designed the exhibition space in Riyadh where twelve other master planners were able to showcase their models and ideas for the future city.  All work was completed in both English and Arabic.
