Guate Amala!, Fundación Proyecto de Vida, Guatemala, 2004 - Present
In 2004, the Fundación Proyecto de Vida, a group consisting of Guatemalan
leaders
from many walks of life, approached Bruce Mau Design to work with them to
produce a
vision of the future for Guatemala that would be powerful enough to
galvanize action and
create a positive movement for the country going forward.
The aim is to create a plural,
multiple vision that can embrace many initiatives,
incorporate many partners and
resonate internationally.
Together, our intent is to connect the new possibilities and potential that are
developing
in the world to the ambitions and challenges of Guatemalans and to
create a movement
that is vigorous and self-sustaining. This vision is being
developed through a multi-year
communications strategy whose aim is firstly, to
reach all Guatemalans in engaging with
the vision and secondly, to engage
international interest in the future of Guatemala. The
goal will be to generate a
strong collective interest among the country's population as
they are the ones who
will ultimately realize the vision. And also, to make this vision part
of a global
initiative that connects Guatemala to an international network of like interests.
BMD continues to work with the Fundación Proyecto de Vida to develop a
series of
events that will launch discourse and action in different regions of
Guatemala, introduce
projects to the world and link Guatemala to international
expertise while highlighting the
growing network in Guatemala.
