Hunter Tura

Hunter helps develop strategies and drive growth for clients and brands. Over the course of the past two decades, he has worked with business, cultural and design leaders from organizations such as Samsung, GE, Unilever, Sonos, Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania and the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing on a range of design initiatives. 

Prior to his current consulting role with BMD, he was the President and CEO of Bruce Mau Design and formerly Managing Director at 2x4 where he was responsible for leading operational and strategic business efforts in the U.S. and China. Before that he was a designer at Rockwell Group in New York and has worked in the office of AMO/Rem Koolhaas.         

He serves as an External Advisor and Guest Lecturer at Designskolen Kolding, where he organized the first BRAND x (Place) Conference in May 2015. Additionally, he has served on the design faculty of the University of California - Berkeley, Columbia University, and California College of the Arts and has been a lecturer and guest critic at Universities and conferences worldwide.

He received his BA from Haverford College in the Growth and Structure of Cities program and has a Master of Architecture degree from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Tura is the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at the Van Alen Institute and a member of the Editorial Board for TASSMEEM, published by VCU Qatar.
