Laura Rojas

Laura is a designer at BMD. Prior to joining the team, she gained experience in studio and freelance settings where she worked on a range of print and digital projects, primarily within arts and culture. 

She graduated from OCAD University with an honours BFA in Cross-Disciplinary Art, specializing in Publications. While at OCAD, Laura co-led the OCAD U Student Press where she worked on design, criticism, and publishing projects in collaboration with groups inside and outside of the university.

Laura is interested in using design as a tool for education and activism. Her thesis project, Bananaland, explored the history and impact of the banana industry in Latin America. Bananaland was awarded the Cross-Disciplinary Art Program Medal and the 2018 RGD Editorial Design Student Award.
