Paul Kawai
  • Paul holds a Bachelor of Design from OCAD University, with a specialization in Environmental Design. His thesis work examined the connections that exist between architectural and food systems and how those connections can be strengthened to create more sustainable and healthy communities in Toronto. While at OCAD U, Paul was the recipient of several scholarships and awards including: the ARIDO Award, the Four Seasons Hotel Award, the Don Watt Scholarship, and the Ontario Association of Architects Scholarship. He was also an active member on Academic Council, the Board of Governors, and acted as Director of the OCAD Student Press. Since graduating, Paul maintains a strong connection to OCAD U as a lecturer and guest critic.
     
    Since joining Bruce Mau Design, Paul has applied his broad range of skills across a variety of design projects including a brand and identity system for Core Strategy Group, architectural programming for the Xochimilco Aquarium in Mexico, research and graphic design for The Third Teacher book, web design for Studio Gang Architects, and exhibition design for Dairy Management Inc. at the 2009 Worldwide Food Expo in Chicago.
