Prior to joining BMD, Payam worked with design teams at Research In Motion, Océ in the Netherlands, Swave Studios and Association of Chartered Industrial Designers of Ontario (ACIDO) on projects of various scopes such as product development, systems and service design, as well as brand strategy, communications and information design.

Payam holds a postgraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Design Strategy from the Institute without Boundaries and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from Carleton University. He stays involved with academia and teaches Human-Centered Design (HCD) principals and processes at the Seneca College Centre for Advanced Technologies.
